Force One is a growing suction excavation company looking for a motivated Apprentice HGV Technician. Based from our depot in March, Cambridgeshire, opportunities are available immediately, with college enrolment starting in August.

Established in 2004, Force One has grown to operate an extensive fleet of Suction Excavators, auxiliary plant equipment, and RRV’s. Since joining the Readypower Group in 2023, we have continued to expand and diversify, offering ongoing development opportunities for our staff.
As part of our continued growth, we’re excited to offer a new opportunity for an HGV Technician Apprentice to join our team.
The Apprenticeship
Qualification: Level 3 Advanced Heavy Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician Apprenticeship
College Location: Peterborough or Northampton
The role:
- Develop competence in the preventative and routine maintenance of company equipment
- Learn to troubleshoot and fault find defects on both HGVs, plant equipment, and carry out repairs as necessary
- Work towards the relevant NVQ qualification, whilst acquiring new skills in the workplace through on the job training
- Work effectively as a member of the workshop team
- Provide support to yard staff as required
- Help to maintain company standards of health and safety
- This is a full time position, 40 hours a week for under 18s, 50 hours a week for over 18s
Requirements:
- Minimum GCSE Grade 4 or equivalent in Maths and English
- Pre study assessment
- Keen to learn
- Excellent communication skills
- Proactive and driven
- A genuine interesting in developing a career in HGV service and maintenance
