Readypower Rail Services is a growing rail plant hire company looking for motivated and experienced Machine / Crane Controllers to support our operations. Based in from our depot in Glasgow, opportunities are available for zero hours personnel.

The role:

• Ensure OTP operations under your control are conducted in line with current rules and standards when on or near the line and lineside
• Ensure OTP activities in your charge are adequately controlled, supervised and only permitted to work safely and in accordance with the OEM requirements
• Carry out undertaking professionally and politely, and to provide clear instructions to the machine operator using Duplex radios where mandated

Requirements:

• Must hold a current COSS competency and gain at least 1 year of experience undertaking these duties working within engineering possessions.
• Good knowledge and experience of the railway; and statutory legislation would be desirable, but not essential.
• Application of the Rule Book Handbooks relevant to the safe movement and operation of rail plant
