Readypower Continues To Support Sebastian’s Action Trust

Readypower are pleased to continue to support Sebastian's Action Trust, a wonderful local children's charity. Offering respite holiday breaks at their purpose-built facilities in the South, and an outreach service of support to families with children suffering from life limiting or life-threatening conditions throughout the UK, this Charity is close to our hearts.

At the Woodlands families can spend quality time with their loved ones while enjoying the peaceful and private leisure facilities. Two years ago, the Trust began a five year project to transform The Woodlands into an outreach and respite centre complementing the facilities already on offer at The Bluebells. As a result of generous donations from a wide range of supporters together with a tremendous amount of hard work by the Trust staff, contractors and volunteers, hundreds of families have been able to visit The Woodlands to enjoy its bespoke facilities.

Ash House (picture included) contains a ‘state of the art’ sensory room, a large cinema room with lounge area and a dining room with adjoining kitchen. Cedar Lodge provides a welcoming community cafe, whilst Beech Lodge provides a music room, a teen den and arts and crafts area, not forgetting the beautiful crafted Tree House and Ruby’s Den all located at The Woodlands. There were 434 day visits and 92 events, activities and clubs in 2019.

Readypower have supported Sebastian’s Action Trust for many years as a chosen local charity close to our hearts.

Russell Jack, CEO of Readypower Group recently presented the charity with a cheque for £2,500 as part of our continued support to this deserving and worthwhile cause. Our donation will help fund the new extension and we will continue to offer the free use of machines for the enhancements and new build.
