Readypower supports the Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity

The Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity provides emotional, physical and financial wellbeing support to construction workers and their families.

They receive no public funding so rely on those within the industry to continue their vital work.

The charity has been running since 1956, when a group of gentlemen who had been attending a Ministry of Public Buildings and Works Exhibition on Tyneside, when they found themselves on the seafront at Whitley Bay. Under the light of St Mary’s Lighthouse, they vowed to extend the goodwill they enjoyed at the show by starting something to unite and benefit the entire industry. From then, the charity was formed to offer aid and assistance to ill or injured construction workers.

The Lighthouse Club provides a range of free and widely available pro-active resources to support the industry, including their free and confidential 24/7 Construction Industry Helpline, their helpline app, and their bespoke training courses and webinars.

Anyone in our industry can reach out to the Lighthouse Club at any point in their lives. Remember, it’s okay not to be okay. Please reach out should you need anything.
